it's like therapy to me

truth is

halloween is not my favorite holiday.

it comes and goes.

don't get me wrong

i dont' hate it by any means

but it's not one that i usually go all out for.

i don't watch scary movies,

i don't listen to halloween music {is there any?}

and i don't go to haunted houses...

really, i just miss the days of dressing up

and trick or treating...

curse getting older..

however 

there is one halloween tradition i

LOVE and will always love.

and that is

carving pumpkins.

it's my favorite!

for the last 3 years maybe

i've been the only one to carve a pumpkin in my family.

it's a must for this season!

as a kid i used to do the classic jack-o-lantern

triangle eyes

square mouth

pumpkin carving.

however the last couple years i've really gotten into it!

it all started with my pumpkin carriage carving.

what a beauty.

i spray painted it gold and everything!

the next year i did a charlie brown/ snoopy looking at the moon.

it rocked.

last year i did the deathly hallows.

it wasn't hard, but i loved it.

i love taking the time to carve a pumpkin.

it's like therapy to me.

i know that sounds so dumb

but really

it totally relaxes me!

so today

i carved pumpkins

all day!

i upgraded from last year

and did a deathly hallows/ hunger games pumpkin.

it also rocks, if i do say so myself.

i even dressed like a pumpkin to be festive... hahaha

because this is about as festive as it gets for me.

{okay okay i still dress up, but it's not the same without trick or treating..}

then later best friend emmie came over

and we carved mini pumpkins!

pumpkin mustaches are fun:)

we also ate dinner at wendys

and had some great chats.

i love when emmie comes to hang out.

i love that we have been best friends since

the beginning of time!

i love her so much!

then annie came home and i had a lovely chat with her too!

I AM SURROUNDED BY AWESOME PEOPLE!
