so.
mine and annie's photography lab teacher,
mister jake buntjer,
from last semester
had a birthday party at the Velour live music gallery.
he's way cool,
and really liked us, and we became friends and everything
so we went to his party.
and let me tell you
he is a photographer. obviously.
a good one.
and so he is just legit.
and all of his friends are legit.
and there's a photobooth
with and awesome variety of hats.
he is just the coolest guy
and his friends were all way nice.
i love it.
so that is a cool story in and of itself.
but brace yourself for this:
so we are just sitting at a table
when this guy comes sits by us
and says
"how much is it to get in here?"
and i say
"10 dollars on a regular day"
and he said
"whats this?"
and i said
"a birthday party, do you know jake?"
and he says
"nope."
so annie says
"you just walked in here?"
and he says
"i strolled in"
then he just sits there
and talks to us
and we tell him our names and ages
and he says
"so madi and aubrey?"
"no annie and aubrey"
"oh."
and then he says some other things that we cant even here.
and by now we have decided that he is definitely on something..
and he just keeps being really weird.
and we are just kind of laughing.
and then he picks his nose and says
"i picked this for you"
OH MY.
im gonna throw up.
and i say to him
"oh. my. gosh. that is so disgusting."
and he just keeps being weird!
we are super creeped out.
and we avoid him.
then we go to leave and he says
"you leaving?"
and we are like
"yup"
and just continue to walk out without looking at him
and he kind of follows us out
and we book it to the car
and blow out of there.
uh...yeah, he was interesting
i did not see that coming!
so weird...
i kinda feel bad for him...
but all in all. good party
and good to see jake again!
we come home because we were anxious to watch
once upon a time.
after we did,
{SPOILER: I KNEW KATHERINE WAS STILL ALIVE!!!!}
we both got to bed pretty early!
like 10:30.
i was pretty excited.
but as i was laying there i could here the boy's music from upstairs.
way annoying.
so i got the broom
and banged on the ceiling. not too hard.
sure enough he turned it down. i went to put the broom back
and right as i walked in
something beeped, really loud.
i said to annie
"what was that?"
she says
"just our smoke alarm"
and i say
"does it always do that?"
she says
"no..."
a minute later it beeps again.
a minute later it beeps again.
both of us start moaning because we were so close to going to bed!
a minute later it beeps again.
and when i say beep its more like a chirp that hurts your ears.
every time it chirped we would cringe.
finally annie got on a chair and tried to figure out what was wrong.
another chirp.
another cringe.
another groan of frustration.
we try to take it off
and we take the battery out.
another chirp.
we push buttons.
another chirp.
roommate katie comes in and tells us the battery is probably low.
and we tell her we took the battery out and it still chirps.
now at 11:15pm we are dreading that we might have to go to walmart to fix this.
but before we do,
we decide to call our home teachers first,
to come to our rescue.
ben bailey is an angel.
he came right over and helped us figure it out.
for a bit he wasn't sure what to do either.
so help me...
but finally he just took the whole alarm off the ceiling.
and it stopped chirping.
we were SO grateful that he came and helped us!
it was the worst noise ever.
we get back in our beds,
and i can still hear music from upstairs,
so i go up there and knock on the door
and he finally turns it down.
get back in bed,
and annie says
"that clock ticking....."
and i said
"you take the battery out."
so she does
and FINALLY we go to sleep in peace.
so much for going to bed at 10:30!
we were SO CLOSE!!
but hey,
i guess it makes a great story!
