today i was in attendance
of yet another
good friend's mission farewell.
Peter Rockwell Hansen.
Now, I have known Peter since 8th grade
We met as a result of a few of my friends {not gonna lie} creeping on him.
we became some what of friends then.
i remember we went to a haunted house,
and some how reached to the point of a dance off.
needless to say... i won....hahah
he was bitter and from that day on until about sophomore year,
he,
and all of his friends,
called me satan.
yes,
satan.
at first it bothered me a lot
and i wasn't a fan of this kid peter.
but then i just decided, whatever. ill go with it.
Satan, then Lucifer.
then Luci for short!
yes and that is how peter and i became friends.
such a touching story eh?
after knowing peter for this while,
i heard he had made the decision to go on a mission!
i was so excited to hear this, and i am SO excited for him!!
Peter did so great on his talk,
i was very impressed.
He spoke with the Spirit
and he has a testimony.
He was himself, and cracked hilarious jokes.
one being,
"Satan is like that Facebook friend that updates their status like every 5 minutes, and says 'That awkward moment when everyone realizes I'm Satan...lol' hahaha"
and how he said he wrote some of his missionary friends,
and he wrote adam maxwell and what he got back from him was
a picture of a shark.
which i find especially funny because i also wrote adam once
and i got a picture of a dragon in return! hahaha
he has really grown into an amazing person.
I don't exactly know his whole story,
but i know that he has been through a lot in his life.
i really look up to him and admire him for making this decision
to go on a mission, and i know he will become and even more amazing person
than he already is!
Peter, I am so blessed to call you my friend.
a close friend.
and I am so proud of you!!
thanks for all the laughs, the music and singing, the massages... hahaha
i know you will be the best missionary,
and the people of Korea are so blessed to have you!
see you in 2!
