first sunday

first sunday with my new ward
[fast sunday i might add]
an interesting 3 hours.

me and ann walked in maybe 5 min. late to relief society
and not even 10 seconds after i sat down, this guy asked me to lead the music..
ok?
i wasnt even sitting in the front and i wasn't even looking at him!
but i did it anyways.
except i couldnt find the song for like 30 seconds
so the lady playing the piano played the intro like 5 times. hahahahaha

after relief society all the first timers went into a separate room and we did introduction with a partner
great story here.
this kid, [cant remember his name]
was introducing his partner
[ps he had a slight accent]
and he says "This is Trent Hooka [hooker] and he lives up to his name!"
hahhahahahahhhaahaha
then later the bishop was saying we could easily have a party because
one guy's wife was on dancing with the stars for 4 seasons
one guy had a fog machine
one guy made pizzas
and then this kid goes "and we got the hooka! [hooker]"
hahahahaha
too funny.

Then is it to sacracment meeting.
Testimony meeting.
Beautiful things were said.
Annie bore her testimony.
it was very sweet:] she even mentioned me as her "roomate"
cause thats what we are...

and-
some interesting things were said-
(ex: "I love trials. I love Satan." of course she said because with out them she couldn't grow closer to Heavenly Father. But still and interesting way of saying it..)

Same kid as I mentioned about (with the accent, and Hooka) bore his testimony

I will try and type what he said in the way he said it...

"Ah'd lahke to ber mah testimownee......ah haven't gone on a mission, but ah hope the gurls still want to daaate meh. one tahme this gurl haad nowhere to lieve so ah asked ma mom if someone needs help caan we give them hellp? and she said yess, so that gurl caame to lieve with meh. and she asked me the mormon prahm and asked me to baaptaze her. So the day afta Thowr came out, I baptized her. And that's how I rememba her baptismal date."

there as no break in between testimonies, which was great to see so many with strong testimonies.
[i didn't go up 1. not enough time 2. i didn't even look cute... ;) ]

it was a great first day, and i think i will like my ward.

home to where emmie [one of my best friends living at byu]
came to visit!
we chatted and chatted about everything
life
classes
professors
roomates
what we eat
random things
people
and of course-
boys.

we just chat chat chat chat.
and  i went up to emmies to see her place
and met her roomates
and chatted some more.

it's nice to know that emmie will always be my friend...
