school for autistic children
i've been looking forward to this for like 3 weeks!
amazing chalk artists.
artists give me hope for humanity.
i plan on being on of those artists next year!

and kiss whenever you want!
ha....

it's been a good couple of days!

tonight when i got home from school
all i planned to do
was chill.
you know,
just sit. hahaha
tuesdays and wednesdays are loooong days for me.
on campus from 8 am to 6pm.

side story:
luckily today i had a break
between 1 and 3:30 today
so i went back to my apartment
to change and just relax a little.
i got out of the shuttle
and i saw...
chad!
hahaha and i said
"chad!....what are you doing?" haha
he brought me my phone charger that i left in sandy.
so i invited him up
and we had a small game of mario kart!
i thoroughly enjoyed this spontaneous visit!

anyways i planned to come home and just relax

and as soon as i got in my room

my roommate macy came in and said

"you goin to the relief society activity?"

....

umm....

when is it? now.

sad to say what really got me to go was free dinner...

haha but i'm glad i went!

we went to an assisted living center close by

to paint nails and just visit.

i visited with a lady named joanna.

she had Alzheimer's 

so she wasn't making much sense.

i would ask her questions and her answers had nothing to do with what i asked.

but i just listened and talked with her.

i started to feel sorry for her,

she couldn't remember hardly anything.

she didn't really know where she was.

she was making no sense...

at the point when i was going to stop just because i didn't know what else to say,

she grabbed my hand

and looked me right in the eyes

and smiled and said

"thank you. you are very nice."

my heart melted.

she may not remember it.

she may not remember me.

but i will remember.

for just one moment i made her feel comfortable

and she appreciated me visiting with her.

and she made me feel loved.

i am glad there was free food that made me decided to go to this activity...

hahaha, but really.

i'm the great bambino.

i love movies.
and it's hard for me to pick favorites...
but.
there is one,
that will forever be a top favorite movie
FOR-EV-VER!

the sandlot.

a classic.

i quote this movie daily.
i've grown up with it.
it's a bonding movie in my family.
i watch it over and over.
and i ALWAYS watch it AT LEAST once in the summer.
such a summer-feel-good movie.
and i shamefully say that i didn't watch it this summer!
{considering that summer means before school starts}
luckily the summer season doesn't actually end until september 22.
so today on sept. 18
abc family happened to play the sandlot.
and i watched it.

i've been ready for fall for a little bit,
but now it's safe for me to say
that this summer season can officially end
and i will be perfectly happy!

some one once said.

"the earth laughs in flowers."

and, of course, i've fallen in love with it.
if you know me,
i love to laugh.

and i love flowers.
sunflowers are my favorite,
but i really love any flower in general.
i love coming home to see flowers on the table.
i love to have flowers in my room.
i love giving flowers.
i love receiving flowers.
the corsages were my favorite part of dances in high school.
and i especially love flowers in mason jars...



one of my favorite moments of the year
is after winter
and seeing the first flowers bloom.
ohhh it is so sweet.

they are just a perfect way to brighten any day.

and so as the world laughs, i laugh along with it!

sometimes you plan to go to bed early
and it doesn't really work out
{okay, all the time}
but sometimes it's worth it.

ok i've slacked off a little...
so here's what's happened in the last couple days
via bullet points and photos:

• photo shoot with amelia. i love being a photographer! she's the cutest
  {also want to mention, my hat is from a family reunion in 2001, my shirt is from elementary school, i made those shorts myself, and that's dad's old camera strap from high school. i love throwback!}

   

• buck's farewell was on sunday!
  i was afraid i wasn't going to be able to go,
  but i ended up being able to make it!
  i sat by myself {all my friends are already gone or weren't there!}
  and an elderly couple sat next to me.
  they were so cute.
  still holding hands after all these years...
  that's what i want.
  such a precious sight!!
  and buck was super happy to see me
  and i was super happy to see him:)
  he's gonna be a great missionary!
  
• on monday i was stoke for FHE cause it was a swim party with the whole ward.
  plus there was going to be food there!
  {another day i wouldn't have to worry about dinner!}
  bad news.
  canceled. lots of lightning.
  so what do we do?
  call up bre on the other side and crash her FHE bbq!
  dinner problem, sloved!
  back home to some super smash brothers and
  mario kart {seriously off my game!}
• tuesday brought me-
  on campus all day. seriously. 8-6.
  hair cut trip for trent!
  homework all night while watching hercules, Pocahontas, and how to lose a guy in 10 days,
  with macy
  and visit from brandon!
  oh yeah and ely came to say goodbye! gonna miss him!
  

• wednesday welcomed home my brother CHAD!!!!!
  home after a 2 year mission in Romania!

so happy to have him back!!

and that's life up to this point!

glad we could catch up!

almost all my friends are on missions now.

tonight was the last night I'll see Cole for 2 years.
and i'm really sad about this one.
of course im excited for him and want him to go
but me and cole have gotten to be really good friends in the last couple months.
he's one of addisons best friends
and i am glad that we have stayed friends
and even become better friends
even though addison is gone.
me and cole share the same humor.
i can always count on cole to laugh at my jokes
and i can always count on a cole to make me laugh!

i miss him already!!

he loves hugs so much.....

welcome to chuck e cheese

tonight we had 4 children sleep over at our apartment.
3 of melissa's cousins,
and a little girl that paige nannys.
ohhhhh that was a party.

we turned our apartment into a chuck e cheese/orphanage.
this consisted of:
watching a movie
making sno cones (fail)
constantly jumping on the couches and mattress
making a fort (faaaaail)
making brownies (success)
dance party
mario kart
and another movie



i love having children over!
we have the best apartment everrrr.

i liked today.

saturdays have previously been taken for granted.
after a whole week of waking up at 6:30 am every morning,
the chance to sleep in was milked.
oh so nice.
and then i get a call.
"hey aubrey! we have jet skis till one and we have already been on them for a few hours, do you want to come to utah lake and ride them?"

yes i do!!

so ashley picked me up
and i went on a jet ski with tanner for an hour!
i loved this spontaneous adventure:)

a birthday party

that consisted of karaoke and dancing

is always a good time:

yeah im the freak on the couch. bahahaha....

back to the apartment to watch moulin rouge.

had a good cry.

and time for bed.

ready for sunday tomorrow:)
