i posted to my facebook status
that i wanted a polaroid camera.

i love all things vintage.
and i love all things photography.
so,
i looked up on ksl
to check for anybody selling their polaroid camera.
and i was in luck!
10$!
that's a steal!
i still have to buy film,
but even if i don't buy any soon
it's not a bad decoration!

i'm pretty much stoked about it!

i'm not gonna lie. it was the best ever.

it was the last cousin adventure
before they leave.
and it was full of "best ever"s.

1. the best cousins i've ever had.
2. the best parents ever for taking us.
3. the best tin foil dinner i've ever eaten.
4. the best ever marshmallow i've ever roasted
to make the best s'more i've ever eaten.
5. the best fire to ever sit around.
6. the best morning for a swim and canoe ride at the best ever lake.
7. the best way ever to end our adventures {for 2 years}

i'm really gonna miss my best cousins!
we've grown up together for 19 years and have become the best of friends!
i'm so proud of them for choosing to serve missions,
and know they will be greatly blessed for it!

i will cherish our memories forever!
because they are the best ever!

i already miss them!!!

i do adore

i do adore:

ill admit it

it's extremely cheesy.
hardly realistic.
the acting may not be the best.
some of the music may not be considered good quality.
the story lines aren't exactly intriguing.

but.

i still love high school musical.
SO MUCH.
and i'm not afraid to admit it!
i'm not afraid to admit that i watch those movies, probably monthly.
not afraid to admit that i know most of the songs
and even the movies
by heart.
not afraid to admit that sometimes i wish that's what life was like.
not afraid to admit i sometimes wish i had a love story like troy and gabriella.
haha....

not afraid to admit that i watched hsm 2 and 3
outside tonight with my friends,
though some of them did not exactly share my passion for it.
except edward. since it was originally just me and him
and it sort of turned into a party...


so please,
feel free to think they are lame,
annoying,
so dumb,
or whatever.

because while you do,
i will just be singing those songs
for the rest of my life,
and enjoying it.

and best cousin scooter
and some of their friends from a class they all had together
decided to all get together before scooter left for his mission.
i was also invited,
even though i didn't share that similar class with them,
but i was always with annie anyways.

and night swimming.

oh how i've missed chili's.
it's probably been over a month since i've been there!
which seems long compared to the almost weekly
visits me and annie took while we lived together.

and my first night swimming experience of the summer.
I LOVE SWIMMING.
and i love night swimming.
and i love summer nights.

i most enjoyed today:)

{and again}

another really good friend of mine
had his mission farewell yesterday.
{but because of my cousin's i wasn't able to see his}
he had a final gathering at his house today
so we could all hang out with him one last time.

Ha, his name just makes me smile.
when i got to his house
i asked him if he give his talk to me,
since i missed it.
he instead let me read it.
i was impressed,
as i read it.
i love seeing that side of my friends.

i miss ya already,

and i know you will be an awesome missionary!

missionaries yet again

another farewell.
this time for best cousin scooter!
he's been called to mexico
and i am so excited for him!
he gave a wonderful talk,
and i even got a shout out:)

he cried. {but you're still a man scott!}
but it just made me really sad!
because im really going to miss him a lot!
we really got to become even closer when i was living in orem.
im really going to miss having him around!

im just a small human.

best cousins forever.

i am so blessed to have the cousins that i do.
especially 2 that are my age
that i have been able to grow up with.
that i just get to totally be myself around.
that laugh at all my jokes.
that constantly make me laugh.
there's never a dull moment with them!

we never really saw each other outside of family gatherings.
but when we all graduated from high school
we decided to have "a graduation celebration".
we all met up
went to a movie
went down town
saw grandma and grandpa at the conference center,
and walked around temple square.
it was a blast!

as we have moved on to college
we started to hang out even more
outside of just family gatherings at grandma's.
especially because they will both leave on their missions in the next month.
we had to get a few more adventures in before they leave.

so our adventure today went like so:
meet at scooter's.
drive to alpine and hike to the natural water slide {so fun}
sushi for dinner! we are so exotic.. hahaha but seriously. we love sushi.

get togethers with my friends from high school.

it's like a sorority for adult women.
too funny.
although i do not see myself as a "mary kay lady" right now,

at least i got free stuff for going!

yet again.
another missionary farewell.
eric frandsen.
i've known eric for a while,
but we didn't really become friends until
our senior year
when we went to homecoming together.
now that was a treat!
i didn't know eric too well then,
but it was SUCH a fun dance!

its been over a year since then,

and he is now leaving on a mission.

i sure love this kid!

he will be a great missionary in texas!

i said spanish.

he kissed both my cheeks.

it was great.

princess daughter

being the only girl,
i am lucky enough to be called my daddy's favorite daughter.
and he's always called me his "princess daughter".
i am really lucky to have the dad that i do!
my dad's sense of humor gets me every time.
i love being goofy with him.
i love just spending time with my dad.
we really like to do outdoors stuff together,
like go on hikes and camping and fishing.
but i even love the time that we are just sitting in the same room together.

he just rocks:)
thanks dad!!

for grandpa

we had a bbq for my grandpa haws.
some family came.
some of his friends came.
so it was fun to meet new people!

i really look up to my grandpa a lot.
i really admire the life he has lived, and the way he has lived it.
this last christmas he gave out the book he wrote about his life.
it is so fun to read!
my grandpa has a lot of great stories,
and i don't go a page without a smile and a giggle.
i love reading his book.
he has always been very determined and
passionate about everything that he does.
he has never been afraid to go after what he wants,
which is obvious when he asked my grandma to marry him
only 2 weeks after they met!
he has been a faithful member of the church his whole life,
served a mission as a young man,
and later served a few more missions with my grandma.

he is very kind, sweet, and loving.
although he is getting older,
i love remembering and watching home videos
and seeing how he interacted with
all his grandchildren when we were really little.
he is such a good man
and i couldn't ask for a better grandpa!
i'm so grateful
that he and my grandma
had my mom
and that they raised her to be a wonderful woman
who could raise me in a similar way.

Thank you Grandpa!
I love you so much!!!!

after grandpa's festivities

i went to emmie's house

where stephen had a surprise party.

me and em had our drinks

and when she offered to get me a straw,

naturally i thought she was offering it for the

chocolate fountain that was near by....

it was good for like 2 seconds.

then it just made us sick.

hahahahaha.

here's how it went.

i saw american flag shorts on pinterest.
i wanted them.
annie wanted them too.
we put it on our summer list.
i went to orem today.
we decided to make the shorts.
we went to DI.
found shorts for 6 dollars.
paint for 4 dollars.
go to the park.
paint our shorts.

i've decided to celebrate the 4th of july like christmas,

since it is my favorite holiday.

so i made an american music playlist to listen to the whole month before.

i'm going to decorate.

and now i have the apparel!

you could say i am STOKED!!

i love america.

i love shorts.

and i love love.

so it all works out pretty nicely,
