visitors!

our apartment must have smelled really nice
or something tonight..
we had quite of bit of visitors!
{considering quite a bit is only like 10.. that's more than we get in a whole month probably..haha}
we don't get it often around here
for whatever reason.
but tonight,
the home teachers came over!
ben and ely.
they are the best!
then we had jono over to watch friends,
kelly and elizabeth over to talk to elise,
josh and nick over just to visit,
jennifer and melissa over to chat,
and kat!
yes kat lives here,
but she actually graced us with her presence tonight...
hahahaha.

i think people just realized we existed.
it's cool i guess...

actually it's probably because it's leap day,
and since it was an extra day for everyone
they decided they could spare some time for us...

another death has come upon jordan high school.

i did not know the boy.

but it's still hard.

it's sad that events like this have to happen to make you step back

and really be thankful for your life.

yes it's monday
and i'm already saying
im ready for the week to be over.

then again
i'm pretty sure i've said that every week
for the last month.

but really,
i'm so over this week already...
too much homework i just want to be over with.

much to look forward to on the weekends.

why is it that the classes for my major
are the ones i don't like going to...
that doesn't seem right.
i'm figuring it's because they are

that's got to be it...

another wedding!

i love weddings.
and they make me want to get married
have a wedding.

you can bet i have mine all planned out
on pinterest.

today my cousin janessa got married!
all growing up
me, katie, janessa, and amber
were kind of our own little cousin crew.
great memories flood my head.
giving stupid nicknames to our cousins,
the "popcorn girls" hahahahaha,
being secretly filmed while messing around
with the keyboard,
our singing chin skit.
and just hangin out at family reunions.
i wish we all go to see each other more often!

janessa wasn't able to come to our last family reunion
and i was way bummed when i found out she wasn't!
when i found out she was engaged {via fbook, of course}
i was so excited for her!
then i found out she was getting married in st george,
which meant i'd probably be able to go,
i got more excited!
she sent me an invitation personally in the mail
to my apartment
and i got more excited!
so on this saturday my family made a trip to st george
there and back in one day!
it was so worth it.
the wedding was beautiful,
and her husband seems like a sweetheart,
i'm glad to have him in the family!
and it was SO SO good to see her!
i realized it had been about 5 years since i had seen her!
it was so great!

PLUS st george had nice weather.
walking around barefoot with no jacket on!
we're pretty far from that up north..
i can't wait.

glad to be back.
it felt natural, like i never left.

here's what i have to say about the last 2-3 days.
and i don't expect you to understand any of it, haha.

-received a text message tuesday morning. my reaction?
 sitting on my bed, saying, "woah... WOAH! WOAH WOAH WOAAAHHH!!!"

-not being able to tell your best friend something,
 and having your other best friend unreachable to talk to
 is SOOOOOO HARD. and very frustrating.

-2 days is NOT enough time to make a huge decision.
 but it's possible.

-i hope when i get married my husband never
 has a traumatic accident and forgets me.
 and i hope i never forget him either.
 thank you "the vow".

-musical movie night with fez, rocks.
 MAMA MIA!!!

-woke up at 7am on thursday morning.
 Yes, that's early for me.
 didn't feel so great,
 however, after getting out of the "i just woke up" tired phase
 it's nice to be up that early.
 i'll probably regret saying that.

-i have had most every emotion known to the human race
 in the last 2 days.
 it's exhausting.

-my family is the best.
 my mom always knows just what to say.

-suddenly my friday nights have become completely occupied.
 SYNERGY.
 6 hour rehearsal. every friday.
 plus extra time for me. i've got a lot of catching up to do!
 but i'm not complaining!
 I CAN DO HARD THINGS!
 I'M READY!

-constantly being asked "are you thinkin...what i'm thinkin?"
 hahahahahaha.
 being with preschoolers makes me so happy.
 i can't wait to make my career out of it!

-annie and i get to add "go to Ecuador" to our summer to do list!!

-the way annie gets excited and happy for me
 is the best! she has the best reactions. I'm so glad i live with her.

-going to class and purely doing preschool art activities the whole time
 sure makes me miss being a little kid.

-i love it when trent says:
 that was way rude!

-i rarely believe in coincidences. EVERYTHING happens for a reason.
 even the little things that seem irrelevant.
 and it BLOWS MY MIND!

-My Father in Heaven is my Father. He knows me better than anyone.
 Better than I know myself.
 He is aware of my feelings.
 He is aware of my sorrows.
 He is aware of my joys.
 He is aware of my struggles.
 He is aware of my hearts desires.
 He hears and speaks to me, individually.
 He loves me so much.
 So so so much!
 He never ceases to amaze me with his ways.
 This gospel is beautiful.
 And to be honest, this gospel is COOL.

it's just been a week that i'm glad is over.
not particularly because it was a bad week.

it was a fine week.

the week has ended nicely though!

and checking out qualtrix with
my biggest brother austin.
it was so fun hangin out with him!

{since we won't all be together on valentines day}

-gets out the red table cloth.

-puts some flowers on the table.

-gathers delicious toppings,

complete with the heart shaped dish.

-gives each person a squeeze-it and a kiss!

-gives each of us a book, CD, or movie of some sort

-and we all eat some delicious Belgian style waffles!
